Workshop-Beschreibung
Conferences (graduate and other) present a good opportunity for PhD students to discuss and develop their work from the early stages of the thesis onwards. In this workshop, we will look both: at how one might approach writing an abstract and at the conference paper itself. More generally, we will also consider some of the differences between writing academically in English and in German. The workshop might be especially useful to beginning PhD students or those looking to find a way into English-language presentations and publishing. Please note: focus will be placed on the humanities.
