Workshop description
A conference paper is both a written text and an oral presentation. While the written paper is more sophisticated, in terms of structure and rhetoric, the oral presentation, in communicating the same ideas, is more interactive and engaging—an effect achieved through a specific use of language. This day-long workshop will, therefore, have a dual focus. We will first explore the genre of abstracts and conference papers; we will then address the style and language of these written and oral academic texts.
Target group: doctoral candidates
Registration
We ask you for a binding registration until December 6, 2019. Places will be allocated according to the principle of "first come, first served". In case of unexcused absence, we cannot regard your registration for events for the rest of the semester. We thank you for your understanding!
